Comfort Food For Snowy Days...

Well, I heard on the news this morning that every one of our 50 states had snow on the ground today. Including Hawaii! So I think we all need a warm meal tonight and I think most should like this one. I found it in those wonderful cookbooks that I spoke of yesterday, just a handwritten recipe on a yellow sheet. This is what I will be trying tonight and I may add potatoes to it as well.

Cheeseburger Pie
1 baked pastry shell
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup mustard
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Parsley Flakes
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1 pound ground beef
3 slices of cheese

Bake pastry shell, cool. In a mixing bowl combine all ingredients, except cheese. Mix thoroughly. Spread mixture in shell. Bake in moderate oven, 45 minutes. Arrange cheese slices on meat. Return to oven until cheese melts.

This is dinner for us tonight, I will let you know how it turns out. Give it a shot as well. Sounds like the perfect meal for a cold night.
